The national Hội does not run the campouts. A Liên Đoàn does. It is the Liên Đoàn your child joins, the Trưởng who load the trailer, and the phone number that answers when you have a question about a weekend away.
Below are the Liên Đoàn we can point a family to today. Every one of them is in Houston, Texas. We would rather show you a short honest list than a map with pins we cannot stand behind.

Hội, Liên Đoàn, Đoàn, Đội
Four words a parent is expected to already know, and nobody ever explains. They nest, and they get smaller as they get closer to your child.
- Hội
- Hội Hướng Đạo Việt Nam ở Hoa Kỳ. It keeps the method, the Trại Huấn Luyện and the traditions carried over from Hội Hướng Đạo Việt Nam before 1975. It does not run your child's weekend.
- Liên Đoàn
- The one you actually join. Its own Trưởng, its own trailer and gear, its own site and its own way of doing things. Everything below happens inside it.
- Đoàn
- A Liên Đoàn holds several đoàn, split by age. A đoàn does not exceed 32, because you can instruct a thousand children at once and educate none of them.
- Đội
- Where your child spends the day. The đội elects its own đội trưởng and đội phó, meets weekly, and every member of it carries a real responsibility.
